DESCRIPTION: | Maltodextrin is a mixture of saccharides and oligosaccharides with DE lower than 20, which is available as white powders mostly or concentrated solution manufactured under cGFMP to meet the requirements of the food, pharmaceutical, neutraceutical and industrial applications. Maltodextrin is more soluble in water than native starches, also is cheaper in comparison with other major edible hydrocolloids.
Maltodextrin as a food additive is considered as GRAS has been applied as a food additive for about 35 years , it performs multifaceted functions in food systems. |
